1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Redondo Beach Auto Gallery ("RBAG," "we," "us," or "our"), located at 339 South Pacific Coast Highway, Redondo Beach, California 90277, collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you visit rbautogallery.com, purchase products or services from us, visit our dealership, enroll in The Come Up Academy, or otherwise interact with us (collectively, the "Services").

This policy is written in plain English. If anything is unclear, email us at hello@rbautogallery.com.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways: (a) information you give us directly, (b) information collected automatically when you use the Site, and (c) information we receive from third parties.

2.1 Information You Give Us Directly

  • Contact information: name, email address, phone number, mailing address
  • Account information: username, password (hashed), profile information
  • Appointment information: the vehicle you're interested in, preferred date and time, notes
  • Course / Mentorship enrollment: information needed to fulfill your purchase and grant access (handled primarily by our payment processors)
  • Vehicle purchase information: driver's license, insurance information, financing application details, trade-in information (if applicable)
  • Communications: any messages you send us via email, text, web form, Discord, or in person

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device & browser data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type
  • Usage data: pages viewed, time spent, referring URL, click activity
  • Cookies & similar technologies (see Section 6)

2.3 Information from Third Parties

  • Payment processors (Stripe, Whop): transaction confirmations, last 4 digits of payment card, billing address. We do NOT receive or store full payment card numbers.
  • Lenders & financing partners: credit decision results when you apply for vehicle financing through us
  • Vehicle history providers (e.g., Carfax): vehicle history reports for vehicles we list
  • Social platforms (Discord, Instagram, etc.): your username and any information you make publicly available when interacting with us

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Services
  • Process Course, Mentorship, and Vehicle purchases
  • Confirm appointments and follow up on test drives
  • Send transactional messages (purchase confirmations, account info, refund handling, appointment reminders)
  • Send marketing communications (only if you've opted in — you can unsubscribe anytime)
  • Provide customer support
  • Comply with legal obligations (tax, DMV reporting, dealer licensing requirements)
  • Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
  • Enforce our Terms of Service

4. When We Share Information

We do NOT sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:

  • Service providers who help us operate the business: payment processors (Stripe, Whop), course/community platforms (Whop, Discord), website hosting (Netlify), email/SMS services, and similar vendors. These providers only access information needed to perform their services and are bound by their own privacy obligations.
  • Lenders and financial institutions when you apply for vehicle financing through us.
  • Government and regulatory authorities when required by law (DMV registration, tax reporting, court orders, subpoenas).
  • Professional advisors (attorneys, accountants, insurers) as needed to protect our legal rights.
  • Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets.
  • With your consent in any other case.

5. Payment Information

All online payments are processed by Stripe (for direct payments and the Mentorship program) and Whop (for the Course). These processors handle and securely store your full payment card information — we never see, store, or transmit your full card number. We only receive payment confirmation details and the last four digits of your card for our records.

For in-person vehicle purchases, payment information is handled per our standard dealership procedures and the documentation you sign at the time of sale.

6. Cookies & Analytics

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to make the Site work, remember your preferences, and understand how the Site is used. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the Site may not function properly without them.

Currently we use:

  • Essential cookies: required for basic Site functions like remembering your login session
  • Functional cookies: remember your preferences (saved filters, etc.)
  • Embedded content cookies: Google Maps (for the location embed) and any embedded videos may set their own cookies subject to their own privacy policies

If we add analytics tools (such as Google Analytics or Meta Pixel) in the future, we will update this policy and where required by law, request your consent.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include encryption in transit (HTTPS), limited employee access, and reliance on industry-standard third parties for payments and hosting. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as needed to:

  • Provide the Services to you
  • Comply with legal obligations (tax records, DMV-required vehicle sale records, etc.)
  • Resolve disputes and enforce our agreements

Vehicle sale records are retained as required by California law (typically a minimum of seven years for dealers). Course access records are retained for the duration of your enrollment plus a reasonable period afterward for support and dispute resolution.

10. Your Rights (Including California Residents)

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Right to know: request what personal information we have collected about you
  • Right to delete: request that we delete your personal information (subject to legal exceptions)
  • Right to correct: request that we correct inaccurate information
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing: we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising — but if that ever changes, you'll have the right to opt out
  • Right to non-discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights

10.1 California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents have the rights listed above under the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act. To submit a rights request, email hello@rbautogallery.com with the subject line "Privacy Rights Request" and a description of your request. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling the request.

You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, subject to our verification of the agent's authority.

Categories of Personal Information We Collect

Under CCPA, the categories of personal information we collect include: identifiers (name, email, IP address), customer records (phone, billing address), commercial information (purchases), internet activity (Site usage), geolocation (approximate, from IP), and professional information (only if relevant to your purchase). We disclose these for business purposes only — never sold.

11. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

12. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. There is no industry consensus on how to interpret DNT signals, and the Site currently does not respond to them. If a future standard emerges, we will reassess.

13. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. For material changes, we'll use reasonable efforts to notify you (such as a Site banner or email). Continued use of the Services after any update constitutes acceptance.
